Each year EuroCALL organises a conference on
a specific theme. This year
year EuroCALL was hosted by the Multi Media Study Centre of the
University of Nijmegen.
These EuroCALL conferences are attended by
about 400 visitors who revel in the latest information on
software, publications, testing, reviews and the oppertunity to
exchange ideas on ICT in education. Details on previous
conferences are found at http://www.cti.hull.ac.uk/eurocall/confs/pastconfs.htm
EuroCALL Nijmegen was unique in its
close collaboration between various institutes of higher
education in the Gelderland county. This cooperation resulted
in a combination of a regular IT conference in which academics
will present papers, together with a fair during which
participants have ample oppertunity to inspect and experience
software. Prior to the conference the oppertunity existed to
organise workshops on specific issues. Guided tours and post-conference
activities ensured that participants had ample opportunity
to experience the rich environment of the Arnhem-Nijmegen region.
